What is a Bernedoodle?
A Bernedoodle is a cross breed resulting from a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. They’re known for their friendly, intelligent and playful nature and are often marketed as hypoallergenic due to the poodle’s low shedding coat. They require consistent grooming, consistent training with positive reinforcement, and daily exercise to prevent boredom and mischief.
They are smart and eager to learn, making them responsive to training, though they can also have a stubborn streak. They inherit the Bernese Mountain Dog’s love for family and the Poodle’s social butterfly nature making the excellent companions for families, singles, and seniors.
Bernedoodles are known for their joyful and cuddly personalities, enjoying attention and interaction with their owners. Bernedoodles generally have a lifespan of 12-18 years.
